You are refuge and strength,
beloved God,
in times of terror,
in times of grief,
in times of loss...

so we pray for the people of Kenya, today,
our siblings and friends in Nairobi,
and all who have family there.

We pray for those whose lives were taken
in the attack,
we pray for those who were injured,
we pray for those whose lives were ripped apart,
remembering especially
the families and friends,
people whose hearts are torn,
knowing those they love will not walk through the door.

Beloved God,
Mother and Father of us all,
may your peace that passes all understanding,
your justice that flows like a mighty river,
your love that hopes all things,
pour down upon your people,
that they might know
that you are holding them.
Now and always.

We pray for the people of Nairobi.
We pray for the people of Kenya.
We pray for this hurting world,
beloved God.

Help us, beloved God.

In Christ's name, we ask it... amen.
