We are seeking someone to oversee the faith-filled decision-making process of the 44th General Council, using the church’s new decision-making model.

The Business Coordinator is a voting member of the 44th General Council Planning Committee and the Coordinator of the Business Table. The General Council Planning Committee is responsible for planning and implementing the 44th General Council to be held in the Calgary or Red Deer, Alberta, area in July 2021, hosted by Chinook Winds Regional Council. 

The Business Coordinator chairs the Business Table team assisting it in carrying out its responsibilities for the work of the General Council. In addition, the particular work of the Business Coordinator is to facilitate and empower the commissioners to do the important work of listening, discussion, and decision-making with regards to the business of this General Council. This position also works with resource staff and the Business Table team on overseeing many facets of Council, particularly working with the Proposal Task Group, providing training and oversight for the facilitation team​, along with other key elements of planning General Council.
