La Table des ministères en français ("La Table") is the voice of francophone ministries in The United Church of Canada, recognized by the general council. The council and its executive is responsible for the wellbeing of ministries in French, offering support and ensuring their success. The council is accountable to the annual general assembly of francophone ministries and the pan-Canadian network.
The council of La Table consists of a number of members chosen from across the Church. These members will enrich the deliberations of La Table by allowing for a wide diversity of voices, perspectives, skills and special gifts to be considered in its decision-making. La Table is currently searching for members for its council and executive, who are interested in new ways of doing Church in French, and who want to take up leadership in a period of transition. Eighteen people are needed to serve as the council of La Table; 7 of whom will serve as the executive.
