Co-Worker in Mission | 3 years | Paid - Salary |  External Opportunity with United Methodist Church |  Music, Counseling and Medical expertise

The United Church of Canada is sharing this invitation from the Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church to consider serving as a Missionary for three years or more.

There are currently three profiles which are being recruited for:

1. Counseling, Community Engagement, Asia

Applicants with a background in Psychology or Guidance Counseling, along with at least two years of experience, diplomatic relational skills, a willingness to travel to different work sites, and organizational skills.  Focus for this work will be to provide psychological and guidance service to patients and their families, working through case studies, networking and regular reporting.

2. Music Education, College Level, Asia

Applicants with a background in Music in Piano Performance or Music Education, along with at least two years of experience, a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Music, the ability speak English fluently, and a commitment to teaching as a ministry.  Focus for this work will be to teach music courses at a college level, collaboration with other faculty and assisting in the promotion and production of music events.

3.  Medical Doctors or Administrators, Hospital Context, Africa

Applicants with a background in Medicine (Gynecology in particular) or Public Health Administration, along with at least five years of experience, diplomatic relational skills, strong organizational and communication skills, and fluency in French.  Focus for this work will be to work in developing hospitals in Africa to provide high quality medical care in collaboration with other medical professionals, or to lead in the continued development of hospital policies and practices to bring better benefit to the community.

Missionaries with Global Ministries are willing to work outside their home context, serve as an expression of their faith and represent The United Methodist Church.
