The Youth Forum Coordinator is responsible for implementing the General Council Youth Forum by chairing the Youth Forum Design Team to plan the three Youth Forum components and acting as liaison and voting member of the General Council Planning Committee.
The General Council Youth Forum is for young people aged 15–18. There are three components; a Winter Retreat in 2021, participation at the 44th General Council to be held in the Calgary or Red Deer, Alberta, area in July 2021, and a cross-country youth pilgrimage during the summer of 2021.
The Youth Forum Coordinator will work closely with General Council program staff responsible for youth ministry to plan and ensure all components of Youth Forum are implemented. They will also work with the Local Arrangements Committee and designated General Council staff to ensure on-site needs are met in Alberta along with contracted staff or volunteers who will plan/manage the summer pilgrimage.
