If Remit 1 (Three Council Model) is passed by the 43rd General Council in July 2018, the regional councils will come into effect on January 1, 2019. Note that a distinct process is ongoing within the Indigenous Church at their request.

The Boundaries Commission thanks all governing bodies that worked with a very tight deadline to request changes, as well as individuals who sent in their comments and questions. Feedback can continue to be sent to remits [at] united-church.ca.
