RSS (Really Simple Syndication) delivers Web content directly to you – allowing you to keep up to date with information like news releases, current events, and job postings. With the help of an RSS reader, you can receive notices any time a website changes.

Readers come in a variety of flavours, and many are free. Some are even integrated into popular Web browsers such as Internet Explorer 8* and Safari*. E-mail applications such as Mozilla's Thunderbird* and Microsoft’s Outlook 2007 also include RSS support. If you'd rather not install software-based readers, Bloglines* or Google Reader * provide free, online alternatives that can be accessed through your Web browser.

RSS readers have slightly different procedures for adding feeds, but typically, you simply click on the "Subscribe" button. It will take you to a page where you can add the RSS feed. You can also copy the URL from the RSS feed you wish to subscribe to, and manually add it to your reader.
