United Church Publishing House (UCPH)

David Bruce, B.A., M.Div., D.Min., joined The United Church of Canada in 1985 while studying philosophy at the University of Toronto. He went on to study at Emmanuel College and was ordained in 1990, serving congregations in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. In 1999 he returned to Toronto and completed his doctorate in ministry. David is currently serving Heritage United Church in Markham, Ontario, engaged in work at all levels of the church, and writing his thesis in systematic theology on the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus. David and his wife, Janet, a public school teacher, are happily raising three teenagers and involved in various community outreach projects.
