National Day of Healing and Reconciliation
The National Day of Healing and Reconciliation (NDHR), administered through Native Counselling Services of Alberta, is observed on May 26. It can be celebrated on the Sunday closest to that date.
The NDHR is meant to effect healing and reconciliation among all races, creeds, and denominations residing in Canada. It is based on acknowledgment of painful history, building peace through understanding, and commitment to moving forward collectively. These resources are offered to help with worship planning:
