Visit Advent Unwrapped for a variety of Advent resources that can be used at church or at home.

This site is back for another season due to popular demand. Advent is the season of waiting and preparation for Christmas that starts on November 27 this year and ends on Christmas Day (December 25). The website also has materials to celebrate the Christmas season, or the 12 days of Christmas that end on January 5.

Before Advent begins, explore Stories Unwrapped to learn about Christmas from the perspectives of its main characters: the shepherds, the animals, the angels, and so on. Each character profile shares a fun retelling of the story and interactive activities for all ages that can be done at home or in church school. Joining the cast of characters this year is the prophet Isaiah.  And check out the Resources page for the 2016 Advent Calendar and more activities for the whole family.

If you’re a worship leader, check out our Resources page for complete worship liturgies and intergenerational service ideas, or submit Advent and Christmas ideas that have worked well for you.

Visit our theme pages for Hope, Peace, Joy, Love, and Christmas to view the 2016 Advent videos and share them with your friends!
