The United Church of Canada/L'Église Unie du CanadaMandatory racial justice training for ministry personnel was passed at the 39th General Council (2006). Face-to-face workshops are taking place across the country in 2010, primarily in presbyteries.
However, some ministry personnel may have pastoral emergencies that prevent them from participating in these workshops. In order to ensure that all ministry personnel have access, a limited number of online facilitated workshops that cover the same content and time frame (about 4-5 hours) as the face-to-face workshops will be held. Online workshops will begin in the fall of 2010.
The materials below are available for download for free for workshop participants, or for anyone interested in exploring anti-racism and racial justice work within the church—for personal reflection; for small group study and action; or other options. Resources will be added periodically, so please check back from time to time.
