Conferences Archives is the sole authority and repository for the appraisal and permanent retention of archival records of Bay of Quinte, Hamilton, London, Manitou, and Toronto Conferences.
Archival records include all data sources, irrespective of their physical medium, that are created and accumulated by the Conferences, presbyteries, and pastoral charges including
- textual records
- bound registers
- photographs (including prints, negatives, and various other photographic formats, including lantern slides)
- maps and plans
- film and video materials
- sound and audio materials
- publications and ephemera
- electronic records
- databases
Conferences Archives is a permanent program dedicated to the accessibility of Conferences, presbyteries, and pastoral charges' documentary heritage through
- appraising, selecting and acquiring its archival records, and the archival records of related corporate bodies, organizations, or individuals
- conserving the archival records or the information accepted
- arranging and describing the archival records according to accepted archival principles
- subscribing to and applying all relevant legislation governing use and access to records including the areas of privacy, access to information, and copyright
- making the archival records available for continuing use, under defined conditions, by the church and by the public
