The United Church of Canada/L'Église Unie du CanadaWhile numerous biographies are available online, these do not include certain Protestant figures who played a key role in the evangelization of French Quebec. The following biographies are intended to complete the record.
Jean-Louis Lalonde, Secretary of the Société d’histoire du protestantisme franco-québécois and a member of the United Church, wrote about fifty biographical texts of varying length for a study about the Pinguet pastoral charge (Saint-Damase-des-Aulnaies, 1905-2005) and for a second, more detailed, study of the Belle-Rivière congregation (1840-2006). Montreal, Société d’histoire du protestantisme franco-québécois, 703 pages.
He is also the author of an overview of Quebec Protestantism: Des loups dans la bergerie. Le protestantisme de langue française au Québec, 1534-2000, Montreal, Fides, 2002, 460 pages.
These biographies are the responsibility of the author, who has dated each one and will update them with new information as necessary.
