Serving the General Council

The actions and decisions of the General Council are carried out by its committees and task groups. This work concerns the whole of the denomination, including our theology, polity, ministries, and justice work. Representatives of the United Church engage in ecumenical and interfaith dialogue and serve in common cause with our faith partners.

Current Openings

The General Council of The United Church of Canada is seeking members for a variety of committees. The deadline to submit nominations or expressions of interest is February 21, 2012.

Discerning and nominating those with the gifts and skills to serve is an important part of the nomination and appointment process.
