Extra Measures

Extra Measures is an opportunity for individuals, congregations, groups, and committees to connect directly with, and support the work of, United Church Mission and Service global partners, as we work together for peace and justice for all. Explore important issues facing partners, and learn how those issues are reflected in our lives and communities.

Access to Education

Support education for all, a basic human right and the foundation of an informed and involved society.
Building Sustainable and Just Communities

A world that replaces poverty with harmony as part of the One Earth Community is possible. Affirm the importance of justice, frugality, humility, and reverence for life and nature.
Caring for Children

Caring for children is essential to the well-being of society as a whole: be part of diverse opportunities for education, health, and entire families.
Empowering Women

Gender justice requires women to be able to make changes and decisions within their communities. Stand with women as they struggle against poverty and violence to build a world of justice for all.
Food for Life

Join with partners working on sustainable, accessible, affordable, and just food systems including production, trade, and distribution.
Healing the Earth

Partner with people around the world working to heal the Earth, address the ecological and climate debt, and restore the sacred balance in all of God's creation.
Promoting Health and Well-Being

Support partners' work for a wide range of physical, mental, and spiritual health care for everyone, including prevention, education, and community-based care.
Providing Water

Everyone has the right to safe and accessible water. Participate in partners' work to ensure sustainable water systems of preservation, responsible management and fair sharing of this gift of God.
Upholding Human Rights

Stand with partners who work to identify and address human rights abuses, wherever they occur, as part of building a world of justice for all.
