For Congregations
- To ensure that a change is made for a particular month we must receive it by the 10th of the month. If not, we cannot guarantee the processing date. Please follow-up if there will be a problem if the additions/changes/deletions are not made for that particular month, and you have sent them by fax, or close to the cut-off date, or by e-mail and have not received confirmation.
- Always include the Pastoral Charge number. This is the number at the top of the monthly print-outs.
- Always include the reference number of individuals when you are sending changes or deletions. The reference number can be found on the monthly print-outs.
- Always include the contact name (that we can read) and a phone number on correspondence.
- Always send a void cheque when adding a new person or changing bank information. For other changes (or deletions) we do not require a void cheque.
- Please use the Information Change Sheets whenever possible-they have been designed to make our work easier.
- We do not take changes/deletions on the telephone without follow-up written confirmation.
- We do not take additions on the telephone.
- Because of the large number of individuals using the PAR program, we encourage you to work through the congregation's PAR contact person regarding your application or change of information. All correspondence from the congregation should come through the congregational contact person.
For Individuals Not in a Congregation
If you are not a member of any congregation and you want to contribute to the Mission and Service Fund through PAR, then you:
- decide on the amount of your monthly offering
- send us a letter with your wishes and instructions, and attach a sample cheque from your account marked "sample" or "void"
- mail both to the PAR unit (mailing address available below)
If you want to make a change to your existing amount or contribution period, please mail, e-mail, or fax the information to the PAR unit.
