An alternative gift idea from The United Church of Canada: Are you looking for the perfect gift, a gift for somebody with everything, or a gift with meaning? Do you want to honour the memory of a loved one with a tribute more lasting than flowers? We suggest the Gift of Sharing. With the Gift of Sharing, you give to one, and to many.

The Gift of Sharing is a gift to the Mission and Service Fund to celebrate a loved one’s special occasion or memory. Make a donation to the M&S Fund in the name of a family member, friend, acquaintance, or colleague. This gift honours your loved one and, at the same time, brings joy and blessings to many around the world—hungry families, abused women, orphans with HIV/AIDS, youth at risk, grassroots justice groups, theological students and lay leaders, United Church congregations, and many more. You can also suggest to others that this is an alternative gift you want to receive.

When you make your special donation to the Mission and Service Fund, we will either send an acknowledgement card to your loved one or send you a "Perfect Gift" card to present yourself. You, as the donor, receive a tax receipt and thank-you.

This thoughtful gift will connect both you and the honouree to the thousands of people who are given love and hope through the Mission and Service Fund.
