Then he said to him, “Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well.”

Luke 17:19

Lately I have heard of many people travelling around the world because they have learned of a miracle cure or a medical procedure that will help them with an illness. They have found the “cure” advertised on the Internet, and they are sure it’s what they need, even though there are often few proven studies to ensure that these “cures” are really workable.

One thing that is sure is the belief in a healing and recovering Jesus. Stories of his healing powers in the Bible tell of how people were cured due to their faith. Changes in their lives because of contact with his healing touch and life-transforming love make Jesus an answer for more than medical problems. He gives what we need—a life that can be changed within.

Prayer

Loving Creator, we come to you to be changed, not just for a while, but for an entire lifetime. Amen.
