Camping

Every third year at the Connections camping conference, there is a special celebration to present the United Church Camping Awards and recognize the extraordinary contributions the recipients have made to camping ministry within the United Church, and most importantly, to the lives of children and youth who attend camps across Canada. All United Church of Canada camps are invited to nominate one individual who has demonstrated an energetic commitment towards the continued success of his or her camp.

2008 Recipients

The 2008 award has been presented to 13 staff and volunteers from United Church camps in recognition of distinguished service and with deep appreciation and respect for their contributions to United Church camping and to the lives of children and youth.

Their stories are a reflection of the thousands of staff and volunteers across Canada who bring the same enthusiastic dedication to their camps.
