Foresight is the newsletter of the Pension Board of The United Church of Canada. Its goal is to inform the members of the Pension Plan of issues concerning the plan, retirement, and retirement information resources that are available.

Important Pension Plan Decisions Ahead: The Pension Board and its committees met frequently during 2011 to understand the plan’s long-term sustainability. The radical change in the global economy, population demographics, and employment norms over the past few years have necessitated research in how to update the United Church’s pension to accommodate these economic realities, and remain an affordable, meaningful retirement benefit. The Pension Board is in the process of identifying the most appropriate changes to meet these challenges. Keep abreast of the changes by reading Foresight, and watch for more details in 2012.
