Same-Sex Marriage Mailing
During the month of October, Conferences, presbyteries and pastoral charges of The United Church of Canada will receive a mailing that contains a package of information related to same-sex marriage. The contents of this mailing include:
- a pastoral letter written by the Moderator, the Right Reverend Peter Short
- correspondence in the form of a commentary regarding same-sex marriage from the General Secretary of the General Council, the Reverend Dr. Jim Sinclair and the Moderator, the Right Reverend Peter Short
- information regarding the Chronology of Marriage and Equality Rights in The United Church of Canada
- an information sheet regarding resources that are available to support couples and congregations
