Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the United Church’s Effective Ministry Leadership survey. All church members are invited to share their thoughts on the United Church’s pastoral relations and oversight and discipline, and the models proposed at the November 2011 Executive of the General Council meeting.

The Executive received the report “Effective Leadership and Healthy Pastoral Relationships” in November 2011. The report [PDF: 12 pp/272 KB] included a proposed new model for pastoral relations and oversight and discipline that would shift some of the responsibilities for these processes from presbyteries to Conferences, and from volunteers to paid staff.  The full report and open survey are available online.

Respondents are asked to submit their feedback before February 15 to allow time to prepare for the March 2012 Executive of the General Council meeting.
