The Theology and Inter-Church Inter-Faith Relations Committee of The United Church of Canada is undertaking a multiple-year study on power in the church and in society. This second in a series of symposia on “Re-imaging Power in Church and Society” invites a focused exploration of the following areas:
Submissions are invited from members of the United Church or friends and critics of the church who know us well and can assist us in reflecting on these issues.
Presentation sessions will be a maximum of 45 minutes in length and designed for a formal presentation time of a maximum of 20 minutes followed by participation or discussion.
Presentations can be papers in academic or popular form, multimedia, dance, art, or music.
An abstract or brief description of the presentation of 200–250 words should be submitted (preferably by e-mail) by April 30, 2010 to Theology Symposium or contact Arlyce Schiebout, Chair of Theology and Inter-Church Inter-Faith Committee.
