Imagine : one hundred years of service in the downtown core! This year Montreal City Mission (MCM) celebrates a century of touching lives and transforming communities.

Montreal City Mission will celebrate its centennial with a special service:

• Date: September 15
• Time: 7:00 p.m.
• Location: St. James United Church
• Special Guest : Mardi Tindal, Moderator of The United Church of Canada
• Theme : “The Bible: The Ultimate Guide for Immigrants and Refugees”
• Plus : A choir that joins 100 voices from the parish, especially created for the event; dance, testimonies, and “lament”

Besides marking 100 years of a rich history of hospitality, compassion, and justice, the celebration will be an opportunity for MCM to renew its engagement for the years to come.

Montreal City Mission embraces a social-justice model of community action in its  response to the challenges of poverty and social exclusion.  Its work is made possible through partnerships with ecumenical and interfaith neighbours, grassroots groups, government, corporations, and academia. These networks allow Montreal City Mission to draw on many dynamic sectors of society in its quest to create an inclusive and caring society where all are welcome and where all belong.
