Petition to End Political Violence in the Philippines
March 4, 2010
The United Church, with other Canadian non-governmental organizations, has initiated a petition to the Philippine and Canadian governments. The petition asks the Philippine and Canadian governments to take steps to stop politically motivated acts of violence and human rights abuses in the Philippines, which are escalating as the country approaches the presidential election in May 2010.
