Palestinian Christians Call for Just Peace
December 15, 2009
The United Church of Canada was part of an ecumenical gathering in Bethlehem, represented by Bruce Gregersen, General Council Officer, Programs. The meeting was coordinated by the World Council of Churches to hear Palestinian Christians share their call of hope for the ending of the occupation of the Palestinian territories.
The Kairos Palestine Document poses questions to the international community, political leaders in the region, and the churches worldwide about their contribution to the Palestinian people's pursuit of justice. Even in the midst of "our catastrophe" the call is described as a word of faith, hope, and love. Learn more from the World Council of Churches
