United Church Social Policy Positions
Nicaragua Peace Process (1989)
That the Government of Canada be called upon to:
- substantially expand Canada’s commendable and important assistance with the implementing and/or monitoring of the Esquipulas peace agreements, and
- actively search for ways in which Canada can assist Nicaragua with its crushing economic problem, including a substantial expansion of Canada’s trade with Nicaragua.
