For All Ages

Youth

The United Church of Canada believes youth and young adults bring to the church special gifts. See also the Vision Fund, which supports innovative, creative, and new congregational youth and young adult ministry in the United Church.

Youth between the ages of 15 and 20 are invited to participate in General Council Youth Forum or as a youth commissioner.

  • Whether you are a volunteer youth group leader, a fulltime youth minister, or a solo congregational minister, there are opportunities to strengthen and deepen your passion and skills for youth ministry.
  • The Youth and Young Adult Ministry Task Group establishes priorities for youth and young adult ministry across the church.
  • The one-time Consultation for Racialized Youth at Canterbury Hills, Ontario, in November 2009 gathered together diverse voices to talk about who we are as church.
  • Information on the relationship between The United Church of Canada and Scouts Canada, as well as information on the Religion in Life program and the United Church Scouting Award.
  • Resources available for youth ministry.
